About Naretunoi

Naretunoi is not just a boundary on a map; it is a living, breathing promise. For generations, the Ath-kapiti Plains have served as the silent witnesses to a sacred dance between the Maasai people and the wild spirits of the Nairobi National Park (NNP). Our heritage is written in the migration paths of the elephant and the ancient songs of our elders.

We began with a simple realization: that the fence is the enemy of the wild, and poverty is the enemy of conservation. By removing the barriers—both physical and economic—we have reopened the ancient corridors. Our story is one of transition, where we moved from being mere observers of the land to becoming its primary healers. Today, Naretunoi stands as a bridge between the wisdom of our ancestors and the scientific needs of a changing climate. When you walk these plains, you are not a tourist; you are a witness to a community that has chosen to stand guard over the heartbeat of Africa.
